Da Yeon Lee joined the KLPGA in 2016, and had a pretty good season right out of the gate. That year she finished 44th on the money list with 147 million won. She notched a 4th place in her first event that year, the LotteMart Women's Open, and had four top tens total. Her best came at the ADT-Caps, the year's final event, where she finished 2nd. She wound up 8th in the rookie standings.
