Chase Tyler Kalisz (/ˈkeɪlɪʃ/ kei-luhsh; born March 7, 1994) is an American competition swimmer who specializes in the individual medley, but also competes in the breaststroke and butterfly events. He is an Olympic silver medalist in the 400-meter individual medley at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro and an Olympic gold medalist at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, and a 2-time World Aquatics Championships medalist. Kalisz attended the University of Georgia from 2012 to 2017 and competed for the Georgia Bulldogs swimming and diving team where he was a 3-time NCAA Champion and American record-holder in the 400-yard individual medley.
