Tyler Joseph Nevin (born May 29, 1997) is an American professional baseball infielder for the Detroit Tigers of Major League baseball (MLB). He made his MLB debut in 2021 for the Baltimore Orioles. He made his MLB debut in 2021. On May 28, 2021, Nevin was promoted to the major leagues for the first time, and was announced as the starting first baseman in that day's game against the Chicago White Sox. However, that day's game was postponed due to inclement weather. He made his MLB debut the next day, his 24th birthday. In the game, he notched his first MLB hit, a ground rule double off of White Sox starter Dallas Keuchel. On October 3, 2021, in the final game of the year, Nevin hit his first major league home run off of Toronto Blue Jays starter Hyun-Jin Ryu.[
