Elvis Augusto Andrus Torres (born August 26, 1988) is a Venezuelan-American professional baseball shortstop for the Chicago White Sox of Major League Baseball (MLB). He has previously played in MLB for the Texas Rangers and Oakland Athletics. He had spent the first 12 years of his MLB career playing for the Texas Rangers. Entering 2007, he was rated by Baseball America as the No. 2 prospect in the Atlanta Braves organization. In 2009, Andrus earned the Texas Rangers starting shortstop job at the age of 20. He is a two-time All Star. Andrus made his MLB debut April 6, 2009, for the Texas Rangers.
