Bio
George William Taft (born 29 July 1993) is an English professional footballer who plays as a centre back or left back for League Two club Scunthorpe United. A graduate of Leicester City's youth academy, Taft failed to break into the first team and was loaned out to Kettering Town, Karlstad BK and York City. In 2014, he joined League Two club Burton Albion on a two-year contract. Taft was capped by England at under-18 and under-19 level, and was a member of the squad for the 2011 FIFA U-20 World Cup.
