Matthew Thomas Ritchie (born 10 September 1989) is a professional footballer who plays as a winger for Premier League club Newcastle United and the Scotland national team. He previously played for Portsmouth, Swindon Town and AFC Bournemouth. He joined Newcastle United in 2016. Born and raised in England, Ritchie qualified to play for Scotland through his Scottish father. He made his senior international debut on 25 March 2015, in a friendly match against Northern Ireland.
